Early Years Pupil Premium
Children will be eligible if they are receiving early education funded hours in any provider, and their parents are in receipt of 1 or more of the following benefits, which are the benefits used to access eligibility for free school meals:
Þ Income Support
Þ Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Þ Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Þ Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
Þ The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
Þ Child Tax Credit (provided they’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more then £16,190)
Þ Working Tax Credits run-on-paid for 4 weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Þ Universal Credit — your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
Or if they have been:
Þ Looked after by the local authority for at least 1 day
Þ Have been adopted from care
Þ Have left care through special guardianship
Þ Subject to a child arrangement order setting out with whom the child lives (formerly known as residence orders)
