Welcome

Welcome to Playdays Nursery.

I am proud to be welcoming you to our Playdays family, where our Federation drivers of ‘Child-centred, Enriching and Community’ underpin all that we do together. I have the honour of being the Early Years Leader across Playdays and Longlevens Infants, where every day is filled with possibilities!

At Playdays, we offer an enriched, varied and engaging curriculum, the theme of which weaves through all areas of our learning and is balanced by experiences led by the children’s interests. Children are provided with time to engage in exploration through a variety of experiences in and outside of the classroom. These experiences are planned to support all areas of development as well as to promote sustained thinking and active learning.

We have a brilliant, dedicated and hardworking team of staff, who bring and share their expertise in order to ensure all children are equipped to take the next step in their independent learning journey.

When families join our setting, we emphasise our motto ‘All of Us Together’. We recognise that it is due to the participation and engagement of the children, parents, staff and wider community that makes Playdays, as part of the Longlevens Primary Federation, the very special place it is today. At Playdays, we aim to:

  • Provide high quality care and education in a rich and stimulating environment with access a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and to develop their curiosity about the world around them.
  • Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
  • Offer quality and consistency in teaching and learning so that every child makes good progress, developing a love of learning and harnessing the attributes of our drivers.
